Charity and Service
Charity has been described as "the Pure Love of Christ". This is the meaning we wish to magnify on this site. Charity is not a thing of duty, or a thing which elevates one person above another. True charity is given of love, and uplifts the receiver.
Charity also does not seek to make someone dependent on the help given, but encourages the degree of independence that is possible. It teaches, encourages, and inspires. It is never given from the motive of converting someone to any particular religious belief, but is given regardless of belief, motivated by caring.
